EVEN knowing a good yarn is just a legend doesn't stop us enjoying it! There's a hope that there is something genuine behind the tale. On occasions such legends do indeed lead to a genuine piece of historical evidence. After all, who would have thought that a legend really did exist in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire!
